Welcome to my website! I have been an actor for over 25 years predominantly working in television and film. My experience ranges from regular roles on British and American television to feature films. When I'm not acting I always have a number of creative projects on the go; I write, direct and coach. For more information click on the tabs below.

Film and television

Over the years, I’ve worked across a wide range of television and film projects, from long-running British dramas to international productions and independent films. I’ve been fortunate to take on both series regular roles and guest leads in well-known shows, as well as appearing in feature films and TV movies..

Doctor Who

In Season 2 of Doctor Who (BBC), I played Toby Zed in the two-part story The Impossible Planet / The Satan Pit. It was a memorable experience working on such an iconic series, in episodes that remain favourites with fans of the show.

All Creatures Great & Small

For three wonderful seasons, I had the pleasure of playing Gerald Hammond in All Creatures Great & Small (Channel 5/PBS). Set in the stunning Yorkshire Dales, this beloved series brings to life the heartwarming stories of James Herriot’s classic books.

A.D. Kingdom and Empire

A.D. Kingdom and Empire, an 8-part mini-series on NBC. The series explores the events following the crucifixion of Jesus, depicting the birth of the early church and the struggles that followed. I played Cornelius, the first Roman to become a Christian.

A few throwbacks....

Casualty

Earlier in my career, I played Woody, a series regular in Casualty (BBC), appearing in 50 one-hour episodes. It was my first regular television role and a brilliant grounding, with the chance to work alongside a constantly changing cast of guest actors across the series.

Coronation Street

I played Chris Gray in Coronation Street (ITV) between 2010–2012, appearing in 108 episodes. It was a great experience to spend time in the world of one of the longest-running television dramas, especially playing such a thoroughly detestable character.

Strictly Come Dancing!

I competed in Series 3 of Strictly Come Dancing (BBC). Not something I ever expected to do, but an experience I’m glad I had. It was a fantastic introduction to live television, and I managed to hold onto my sequins for six weeks!
