Self-tapes are now the industry standard for casting, but they can pose challenges for some actors. Time pressures, no direction, finding a reader, and technical hurdles can all be obstacles. They also offer flexibility and a chance for actors to excel. I've booked dozens of jobs through self-tapes, including recurring roles, and now, I enjoy the process. I'm eager to share the things that have helped me land roles.

We'll look at the essential aspects of handling quick turnarounds, mastering technical setups, framing, performance delivery and lots more. Each participant will have the opportunity to record multiple takes of a scene provided beforehand. I'll give constructive feedback, answer questions, and offer guidance throughout the session. The primary objective is to bolster your confidence and proficiency in self-taping, ensuring you're well-prepared for your next audition!

I have worked for over two decades in television and film. My experience ranges from regular roles in British soaps and serial drama to American television and feature films. As well as acting I write and direct and have a huge passion for helping actors who are trying to break into TV and film. I can currently be seen playing Gerald Hammond in All Creatures Great and Small.
