INTERVIEW WITH WILL FROM THE BBC CASULATY WEBSITE...
(Interview December 2004)

Q. How does Woody end up in A&E on his first day?
WILL: Woody's having a relationship with this lady and he's in a sauna. She tells him to come and see her when her husband's away but Woody says he can't because he's going to a football match. But she goes ballistic and locks him in the sauna. Then the paramedics get called out to this posh house where's this guys been locked in a sauna with these bondage style fluffy handcuffs! They break the door down, rush me to hospital with just a little towel over me. They ask me what my occupation is and he's sidestepping the issue but eventually Josh turns up and tells them I'm a paramedic and that it was my first day. Not exactly the best start for me!
Q. Was the sauna fully heated?
WILL: I haven't filmed the sauna scene. The sauna's stuff is next week and I hope it's not going to be too cold. The costume lady actually gave me a pair of flesh coloured pants, the tiniest pants I've ever seen and said that was an option.
Q. What was it like acting naked?
WILL: Well I've only filmed one scene as it's my first week. It was ok but you're nervous on your first day on a job anyway and having to come in and take your kit off and then maybe nine million people may watch your first day as well. I know Rebekah as we did a play together before and funnily enough I was naked in that as well.
Q. How do the women react to you?
WILL: Some of them play the game and flirt back. But with
Comfort because I'm replacing
Fin she's not willing to take any flirty nature. I think eventually I win her over. There's nothing bad about Woody, he's just a fun guy.
Q. Any romance?
WILL: We'll see.
Q. So your character doesn't get much romance but he's a flirt?
WILL: Yes he's a flirt and I think he's going to be getting himself into trouble. He has a wicked sense of humour and nothing's going to get him down.
Q. Is Woody going to cause havoc in the hospital?
WILL: Yes I think pretty much that's going to be it.
Q. Are you similar to Woody?
WILL: Our sense of humours are similar. I think I'm sort of like him but I've got responsibility, I've got a wife and a baby on the way and I own a flat so if you took that away, I'd be exactly like him.
Q. Is she in the business too?
WILL No, she's a sign language interpretator. She interprets plays.
Q. When's the new arrival?
WILL: On the 19th January. I'm going to get the costume department to make a baby grow paramedic outfit!
Q. Are you the people's official guide to the city having trained in Bristol?
WILL: Yeah, I suppose I am but we haven't really been out. I'll give them a tour. It's nice to be back in Bristol.
